Blue Spirulina Powder
Blue Spirulina Powder - Organic is an organic spirulina extract on organic maltodextrin, 65 to 70 percent extract, taken for its pigment: the natural blue of phycocyanin. The taste is almost neutral, with a light vegetal note, so a quarter teaspoon turns a drink, a smoothie bowl, an icing or a yoghurt vibrantly blue without changing how it tastes. It is ready to eat and stirs straight into beverages, baking, salads and desserts. Naturally contains sulfites. EU Organic certified, manufactured in Latvia and supplied in a 50 g retail doypack.

Frequently asked questions
What quantity do I need to order?
Order quantities depend on the format. The table above shows the quantity at which each format moves to wholesale pricing, and we can quote against your own volumes. Get a quote
Why is there no price on this page?
Wholesale pricing depends on format, volume and destination, so a single figure would be misleading. Tell us what you need and you get a real number the same working day. Small self-serve orders are priced openly in the wholesale shop.
What is the difference between Blue and Green Spirulina?
Green Spirulina is the whole algae dried into a powder, one ingredient, 63 g protein per 100 g, and the flavour is strong. Blue Spirulina is a spirulina extract on organic maltodextrin at 65 to 70% extract, taken for its colour rather than its nutrition.
How do I dose it?
Green Spirulina: 3 to 5 g, about a teaspoon, into smoothies, juice or water, and it also blends into energy balls, dips, dressings and lattes. Start small and adjust, because the flavour carries. Blue Spirulina goes into beverages, baking, salads, yoghurt and smoothies and is dosed to the colour you want.
Does it contain allergens?
Yes. Both declare sulphur dioxide and sulphites. Both are also certified organic under LV-BIO-02, vegan and GMO-free.
How long does it keep and how is it stored?
24 months. Store in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and heat, in a closed package.
