Chia Seeds retail doypack
SKU 302

Chia Seeds

Chia Seeds are whole chia (Salvia hispanica), nothing added: oval seeds in mixed grey, black and beige. They go into smoothies, yoghurt, porridge and baking, and they gel in water, which is what makes chia pudding work. Soaked they thicken, sprinkled they stay crunchy, so one pack covers puddings, overnight oats, bread doughs and toppings. High in fibre and a source of protein. Manufactured in Latvia and supplied in a 250 g retail doypack.

Frequently asked questions

What quantity do I need to order?

Order quantities depend on the format. The table above shows the quantity at which each format moves to wholesale pricing, and we can quote against your own volumes. Get a quote

Why is there no price on this page?

Wholesale pricing depends on format, volume and destination, so a single figure would be misleading. Tell us what you need and you get a real number the same working day. Small self-serve orders are priced openly in the wholesale shop.

What is in it?

Chia seeds, Salvia hispanica, and nothing else. 20 g protein and 32 g fibre per 100 g.

How do I use it?

Straight into smoothies, yoghurt, porridge and baking, or soaked in water where the seeds gel for chia pudding. Ready to eat as supplied.

Are there limits on how much I can use in a product?

Yes, and they are set in law rather than by us. Regulation (EU) 2017/2470 sets maximum inclusion at 5% whole or ground in bread products, 10% whole in baked products, 10% whole in breakfast cereals, and 5% whole in sterilised ready-to-eat meals based on cereal grains, pseudocereal grains or pulses.

How long does it keep and how is it stored?

24 months. Store in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and heat, in a closed package.
